Perhaps you are experiencing depression or anxiety.  Maybe you’re feeling nervous, afraid, or stressed.  Possibly, you are experiencing relationship problems or trying to come to terms with your sexuality.

Anxiety

At this point, you are probably concerned about your potential therapist’s training, expertise, and experience.  You would like to feel that your therapist will be able to understand you and be helpful to you in your particular situation.  After more than 25 years in practice, I have become a seasoned and skilled therapist, having developed expertise in the treatment of depression and bipolar disorder, adjustment and anxiety disorders, difficulty in relationships, and exploring gender and sexual orientation concerns (e.g., coming out).

I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors.  Often people are facing stress or personal struggles.  Just as common are people who have difficulty in relationships or with life cycles issue (birth, death, moving, separation and divorce, lost of a loved one, to name a few).

Friends

I work extensively, but not exclusively, with people in the LGBTQ+ community, with a pledge toward affirmation, support, and dynamic exploration.

One of the most powerful therapeutic tools is a focus on the relationship between the therapist and the client.  This client-therapist relationship can act as a reflection of one’s personal relationships, and focusing on the relationship offers a chance to learn and practice new ways of thinking about and approaching relationships going forward.

I welcome the opportunity to talk with you and to be helpful in the ways that best fit your needs.
